Procurement Leader

This role focuses on delivering strategic procurement across multiple business areas, with a strong emphasis on policy execution and contract management.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of key supply markets and the ability to inform procurement strategies through market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on policy, process, and contract management to designated teams.
  • Develop forward-thinking procurement plans that take into account immediate and medium-term needs.
  • Identify opportunities for whole-of-business/category growth and oversee procurement strategy to realize these opportunities.
  • Manage tenders, evaluations, extensions, and variations for high-value procurements.
  • Advise on lower-risk quotes and procurement strategies.
  • Oversee common-use agreements, panels, strategic contracts, and key corporate agreements.
  • Support development of key supplier relationships, contract management, and KPI strategies and outcomes.
  • Educate and train team members in procurement processes, probity, and technology.
  • Contribute to social procurement and sustainability objectives.
  • Lead reporting on procurement and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, including at least 2 years in a senior procurement role.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATION IN PROCUREMENT, BUSINESS, IT, OR A RELATED FIELD.
  • Experience in corporate services categories such as HR, Marketing, Communications, IT, or Business Services.
  • Extensive experience in procurement sourcing projects, including strategy development, tender processes, supplier negotiation, and contract award reporting.
  • Strong internal stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in contract management, including transition, administration, risk management, and close-out.
