Job Title

The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in driving strategic value from suppliers through market intelligence, informed procurement practices, and best-in-class processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement team to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive innovation in procurement strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of procurement strategies across the organization, working closely with the leadership team.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and support critical sourcing activities to deliver business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with partners on contract requirements, category strategies, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Implement a continuous service improvement process with partners to drive additional value beyond contractual obligations.
  • Oversee commercial and governance frameworks for major projects to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, c-suite executives, and external partners.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Business, or Law are preferred, with additional certifications highly valued.
  • Proven experience in leading teams, managing projects, and delivering complex initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of business drivers, issues facing large-scale organizations, and best practice procurement principles.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, prioritize tasks efficiently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced experience in project management, strategic planning, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to foster collaborative working environments.
  • Experience in outsourcing, service delivery, and operations management is highly desirable.
