About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Capability Manager to join our team at the Justice Department. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the learning and development strategy for our Youth Justice workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of learning and development professionals to design and deliver high-quality training programs that meet the needs of our Youth Justice workforce.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the department to identify learning needs and develop solutions that address these needs.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality learning solutions.
  • Develop and implement a plan to measure the effectiveness of our learning and development programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • High level expertise in learning and development contemporary practices.
  • Significant experience in strategic planning and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of leadership, management, and interpersonal skills training to operational staff.
  • Specialist experience in the professional supervision and development of a team of staff including the day-to-day management of work organization, budget, resources allocation, and service delivery.
  • Accountable for achievement of established corporate objectives including the formulation and implementation of local business plans.

Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in education, human resources, or related domain, or equivalent experience.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
