Key Role Overview

The Business Analyst is a crucial team member, accountable for deploying the PPM solution.

They will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, review PMO artifacts, and conduct workshops to assess business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Working under the Client Engagement Lead, the Business Analyst forms part of a team of 3, responsible for translating clients' functional requirements into Planview Platform configuration structures.
  • Supporting the Delivery Services Director in providing subject matter expertise, Pre-Sales, and Sales as needed.
  • Collaborating with delivery and technical teams to advise on the best possible solution aligned to clients' requirements.
  • Developing strong stakeholder management skills, communicating complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively supporting and managing customer-focused workshops, demonstrating agility, flexibility, and creative solutioning while aligning to line of business products and services.
  • Supporting the technical team in client escalations for all implementations.
  • Managing and working closely with the Functional services team and technical team.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on Planview Portfolios to advise on optimum configuration required against clients' business requirements.
  • Acting as lead BA consultant to deliver subject matter expertise in pre-sales and delivery engagements.
  • Executing projects according to the agreed work plan under direction of the Client engagement lead.
  • Providing project status information, including risk identification, task delay, and task completion estimates.
  • Proactively alerting Project teams of potential problems based on working knowledge of the Planview solution within the customer's environment.
  • Responsible for directing and reviewing comprehensive documentation around solution design and project delivery.
  • Working closely with the technical team to fully understand the design and implementation to be delivered to the customer.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and managing technical risks within consultancy engagements, projects.
  • Participating in strategic project review sessions to share materials or lessons learned with the wider team.
  • Developing skills and working with the Client Engagement Lead to attend prescribed/requested training.
  • Providing guidance to client teams or third-party Partners to collaborate and implement the technical solution.
  • Supporting the PPM Analyst in preparing, maintaining, and submitting activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports.
  • Assisting in creating knowledge management articles and performing all knowledge management tasks.
  • Effectively representing the organization in a professional manner to the customer at all times.
  • Mentoring Technical and Functional team staff within specialist areas.
