Job Title: Lead Auditor

About the Role

This role involves conducting business assurance assessments in accordance with current procedures. You will lead multi-disciplinary and/or international assessment teams effectively, ensuring that the visit is completed within the agreed timescales.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality assessment reports or other reports such as summary reports, reflecting business assurance principles, in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of management systems/scheme requirements and their application via a business assurance approach. They will also have experience in third-party auditing/assessment including system-level auditing and process-level auditing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct business assurance assessments in accordance with current procedures
  • Lead multi-disciplinary and/or international assessment teams effectively
  • Produce high-quality assessment reports or other reports
  • Maintain professional competence by keeping abreast of technical and other developments in own area of expertise
  • Supervise induction/coaching/knowledge transfer for assigned new Assessors
  • Coach Auditors under training, recommending authorisation and further development activities as appropriate
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of management systems/scheme requirements
  • Experience in third-party auditing/assessment
  • Understanding of relevant legal/regulatory framework
  • Substantial experience in complex technical projects
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite
