Job Opportunity: Lead Assurance Specialist 

Job Summary:

This role involves undertaking business assurance assessments in accordance with current procedures and leading multi-disciplinary assessment teams effectively.

  • Conduct business assurance assessments within authorized areas of specialism.
  • Lead assessment teams to ensure timely completion of visits and coordinate team findings to reach conclusions.
  • Produce high-quality assessment reports reflecting business assurance principles, in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal procedures.
  • Discuss additional services with clients and promote higher value services while building strong relationships.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of changes and issues, escalating as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities and sales leads and pass them onto colleagues.
  • Pass client feedback and insights to internal recipients and initiate client improvement projects.
  • Maintain professional competence by keeping abreast of technical developments and maintaining CPD records.
  • Supervise induction/coaching/knowledge transfer for new Assessors.
  • Coach Auditors under training and mentor less experienced Lead Assessors.

Technical Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of management systems/scheme requirements and their application via a business assurance approach.
  • Substantial experience in third-party auditing/assessment, including system and process level auditing.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
