**Financial Reporting Expertise**

You will be responsible for leading the Australian Financial Reporting team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial reporting, regulatory reporting and tax reporting to a diverse range of investment manager and superannuation fund clients.

Establishing a level of client knowledge is crucial to meet all requirements and enable the team to build relationships further. You will also be involved in managing new client onboarding processes as it relates to financial reporting and tax, in conjunction with other teams.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting and Tax, you will support the team in managing financial reporting for the Client Accounting group(s), providing advice to internal clients on business trends and firm strategy, and maintaining risk management and compliance programs.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for developing periodic goals, organizing work, setting priorities, monitoring activities and ensuring timely completion of tasks. You will also be expected to provide input and support to budget management processes.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Leadership and organizational skills to develop periodic goals and manage team members towards set goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive experience working within a Custodian, Superannuation fund, or Investment Manager accounting/tax team.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Accounting/Commerce/Finance degree qualified ideally with a CA or CPA.
  • Understanding of unit pricing and unit registry concepts.
  • Client service and relationship management experience.
