About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operator to join our team at Cement Australia. This position exists to take a lead role in the maintenance and operation of heavy industrial equipment, including ball mills, slag dryers, and dispatch systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the reliable and safe operation of equipment through preventative maintenance activities, including PMR inspections, electrical troubleshooting, and v-belt replacement.
  • Operate and maintain site equipment, including ship unloaders, ball mills, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Supervise production and maintenance contractors, including issuing Permits for Work and reviewing Risk Assessments.
  • Use SAP to raise notifications and work orders for planned and unplanned maintenance works.
  • Assist with shutdown and general maintenance planning.
  • Raise purchase requisitions for equipment repairs and parts required for repair.
  • Perform QC testing of all products produced on site to ensure quality targets are met.

About You:

  • Previous experience in heavy industry.
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical.
  • EWP Licence.
  • Confined Space, Working at Heights tickets.
  • LVR Training.
  • Prior knowledge of SCADA systems and fault finding.
  • Bobcat and Loader experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive approach towards continuous improvement and upgrades.
  • Fault finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with the use of small hand and power tools.
