Key Role: Systems Engineer

As a Defence Systems Engineer with a software focus, you will be an integral member of our multidisciplinary engineering team. The role is responsible for supporting systems engineering, software design, integration, verification, and sustainment activities. You will work on complex land vehicle systems including mobility, lethality, survivability, electronic systems, and integrated logistic support. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to lead complex projects and deliver engineering solutions in line with Defence standards.

Key responsibilities include applying systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle, with a software focus from requirements development through verification and validation. Additionally, you will develop and review Technical Investigations, Engineering Support Reports, Technical Instructions, and Test & Evaluation documentation for armoured vehicle systems. Participating in engineering design reviews and contributing to engineering change and configuration management processes are also key aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. Chartered status is highly regarded. Minimum 5 years' experience in Defence systems engineering with a software focus, ideally in land vehicle platforms, is required. Proven expertise in requirements management, risk management, configuration management, and verification & validation processes is essential.
