Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Expert to join our dynamic kitchen team at the Sydney Domestic Lounges.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about food quality and delivery, with excellent culinary skills and a strong commitment to teamwork.

As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth preparation and service delivery, while also guiding and supporting junior chefs.

Key responsibilities include maintaining consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in preparing and presenting all menu items, collaborating closely with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless and memorable experiences for our guests.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a high-volume commercial kitchen;
  • Experience with fine-dining presentation and cooking styles across all sections;
  • Knowledge of a wide range of cooking methods and techniques;
  • Strong understanding of HACCP requirements and ability to adhere strictly to health, safety, and compliance standards;
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure;
  • Ability to adhere to portion control, food waste, and production procedures;
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, with full availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as required.
