Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an expert in network infrastructure to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of Cisco networking, firewalls, and management tools.

  • Provision, maintain, secure, plan capacity for, and test the performance of data and storage systems infrastructure.
  • Participate in incident response and security capabilities for network infrastructure.
  • Design, automate scripts, produce technical documentation, reports, and records regarding infrastructure solutions.
  • Improve, harden, test, implement, monitor, and tune networking software/hardware for optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Analyze network traffic data and provide recommendations on performance and security improvements.
  • Acceptance tests and commission communications systems and equipment.
  • Work with the cyber security team to improve protection and remediate vulnerabilities.

About You:

  • Preferred degree in IT with industry accreditations in Cisco and ITIL.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking covering LANs and WANs.
  • Experience with Firewalls Cisco and/or Palo Alto and relevant management tools.
  • Strong experience in communication infrastructure.
  • Proficient in writing policies and procedures and other support documentation.
  • Strong experience or willingness to learn Python and relevant scripting languages.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and service management practices.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn Network management tools such as Cisco DNA Centre, Statseeker and Infoblox.
