Role Overview

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as a Creative Digital Content Developer. As part of the Multimedia Design and Development Team, you will be responsible for working on multimedia projects, generating and manipulating graphic images, animations, sound, text, and video into consolidated multimedia applications.

You will work with innovative technologies, extending the portfolio of online learning resources and services offered by the Teaching Development and Innovation team within BHI. Your primary goal is to create engaging digital content that enhances the learning experience.

About You
  • A degree or diploma in Multimedia/IT and Graphic Design, or equivalent, is required.
  • Evidence of further studies or professional development in Multimedia is preferred.
  • You must have experience using industry-standard design packages to produce documents, images, and animations for print-based and electronic media.
  • Technical knowledge should include HTML, CSS, JavaScript coding, and standards, as well as experience developing e-learning content and integration within a Learning Management System (MOODLE).
  • You are expected to develop user interfaces and interactivities from concept to production, utilizing Adobe Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, if applicable.
  • Advanced use of digital still/video camera, and processing and compression of images, video, and audio content, is also necessary.
  • You should have experience contributing to both small and large projects within a complex organization, ensuring they meet client specifications and are completed accurately and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet clearly defined objectives and priorities, operating accordingly, reviewing, and adjusting as required to meet timelines which are sometimes short and conflicting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen to client needs and actively seek to meet their expectations are essential.
