R&D Professional: Laboratory Operations Specialist

About the RoleOur organization is seeking an accomplished laboratory professional to play a key role in our R&D operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various labs and storage areas, ensuring seamless operation of the centre, providing lab support, and meeting health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Centre Management: Ensure smooth functioning of the centre and equipment, manage scheduling of pilot plant use, execute analytical calibrations, and maintain hygiene standards.
- Product Development Support: Provide assistance with product development, including batch preparation and pilot plant runs.
- Administration: Manage invoices, coordinate with external suppliers, order stationery, and support procurement processes.
- Raw Materials and Consumables: Maintain stock levels of raw materials, packaging materials, gas supplies, and chemicals.
- Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Review activities for safety, identify hazards, and report incidents.
- Compliance: Operate in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Qualification: Degree in Food Technology or similar field.
- Lab Experience: Previous experience in laboratory settings, preferably within FMCG, is highly valued.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Relationship-Building: Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
