R&D Operations Specialist

This role is a critical component of our research and development team, responsible for the smooth operation of our R&D Centre.

The ideal candidate will oversee various labs and storage areas, including creation, packaging, transport testing, and pilot plant facilities. This position is part-time for a fixed 12-month term.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Centre Management: Ensure centre equipment are operational, safe, and maintained. Manage scheduling of Pilot Plant use, execute analytical calibrations, and maintain hygiene standards.
  • Product Development Support: Provide lab support for product development, including batch preparation and pilot plant runs.
  • Administration: Manage invoices, liaise with external suppliers, order stationery, and support procurement processes.
  • Raw Materials and Consumables: Maintain stock levels of raw materials, packaging materials, gas supplies, and chemicals.
  • Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Review activities for safety, identify hazards, and report incidents.
  • Compliance: Operate in accordance with our company policies and procedures.
About You:
  • A qualification in food technology or similar field is required.
  • Laboratory experience, especially within the FMCG industry, is highly desirable.
  • You must possess strong relationship-building skills and be able to multi-task effectively.
