  • Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans and SWMS for high-risk or value jobs, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities on matters of HSE regulation and compliance, ensuring our company remains up-to-date with the latest legislation and standards.
  • Manage HSE inductions and onboarding process for new internal staff, including HSE communications and toolbox talks.
  • Provide advice on HSE matters and issues that arise, ensuring our company framework and safety management system are upheld.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, including investigations, reporting, and escalation.
  • Monitor safety compliance through efficient safety systems and technology, focusing on lead and lag indicators.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Work Health & Safety, essential (minimum Certificate IV in H&S).
  • Previous experience in the Building & Construction industry.
  • Competent use of technology and safety systems/technology.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Results-driven and adaptable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities and make quick decisions.
  • Problem-solving and process implementation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, laws, and regulations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally and interstate as required.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Working with Children Check (preferred or to undertake during employment).
