Geotechnical Engineer Position

This role presents a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals to take on the challenge of delivering high-quality services in geotechnical engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, from assisting with tender preparation and proposal development to providing technical advice and expertise to clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake geotechnical investigations and characterization projects.
  2. Conduct engineering geological and geomorphological terrain evaluations.
  3. Perform landslide and slope risk assessments.
  4. Carry out slope stability analysis.
  5. Design and implement ground improvement and remediation solutions.
  6. Develop and manage tailings dam design, management, and operation strategies.
  7. Interpret instrumentation and monitoring data.
  8. Ensure construction quality assurance and quality control.
  9. Lead project management and delivery initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Between 2-6 years' experience with tertiary qualifications in Geology, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a dynamic environment.
  • Well-developed creative problem-solving skills.
  • Motivation for ongoing professional development and improvement.
  • Post-graduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • Experience with tailings storage facilities is advantageous.
