Pursuits and Business Development Lead Role

BuscoJobs is seeking an experienced business development professional to drive our pursuits and business development efforts in the civil infrastructure sector.

About the Job:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead the development and management of opportunities for our Civil Infrastructure team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in winning new business and driving growth in the sector.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities for the Civil Infrastructure team, identifying key targets and developing effective pursuit strategies.
  2. Lead the pursuit of key opportunities, including client meetings and bid strategy development.
  3. Develop successful bid strategies that meet client needs and drive business growth.
  4. Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, while optimizing commercial outcomes.
  5. Provide oversight and support to the bid manager, ensuring high-quality bids that meet sector standards.
  6. Mentor and guide the bid team to achieve sector goals and exceed quality requirements.
  7. Work closely with our National Growth team and other disciplines to manage the bid process efficiently and effectively.
  8. Implement our growth strategy and identify opportunities for diversification and revenue growth.
  9. Champion a client-focused and entrepreneurial culture within the team.
  10. Drive continuous improvement in all areas of work winning related to the Civil Infrastructure Team.

You'll Need:

  • Relevant experience in the design and engineering of Civil Infrastructure projects, including highways, structures, ports, and airports.
  • Established relationships with clients in both government and contractor sectors.
  • A growth mindset and passion for developing and growing our business.
  • Experience and knowledge of the bid life cycle, including bid strategy development and bid management.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing and delivering successful bids, with a strong commercial understanding of project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills, with ability to prioritize and meet demands in a fast-paced environment.
