Grounds Maintenance Position",{p}We are seeking a reliable and skilled Grounds Maintenance professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school's grounds to a high standard, ensuring they are well-presented and safe for students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or similar outdoor/manual work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out general grounds maintenance duties including mowing, edging, hedge trimming, weeding, and pruning
  • Assisting with beautification of school gardens, landscaped areas, and outdoor spaces
  • Operating and maintaining gardening and maintenance equipment such as mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, and hedge trimmers
  • Rubbish removal and general site tidiness, including cleaning outdoor areas and paths
  • Supporting minor property repairs and maintenance as directed by the Property Manager
  • Assisting with school event setup/pack down (e.g. moving furniture, setting up marquees or signage)
  • Identifying and reporting hazards or maintenance issues to the Property Manager

Working safely and complying with all WHS requirements and school policies is essential.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Professionally certified horticulturalist or qualified gardener with knowledge of garden design and plant care
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor/manual work
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping spaces neat and well-presented
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting the school's values and team culture

Desirable qualifications include Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Landscaping, or similar, First Aid Certificate and a valid Driver's license MR or greater to operate school vehicles.
