Meaningful Opportunities in Cancer Support

We invite you to join us for a day of volunteering at Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne, where you can make a difference in the lives of people with cancer.

The event, Olivia's Walk and Run for Wellness, raises awareness and vital funds for the wellness program at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a joyful and meaningful experience for all participants.

You can choose from various roles:

  • Event Set-up: Transform Alexandra Gardens into a welcoming event area.
  • Registrations & check-in: Greet and check-in walkers on arrival and hand out their bibs.
  • Course Marshal: Create a fun, friendly, and safe event atmosphere and support walkers on the course.
  • Merchandise: Get walkers dressed up and assist at the Merchandise tent.
  • Activities: Bring the event to life and assist at activities at the Kids Zone or Hope Wall.
  • Start Line: Ensure everybody comes together in their allocated time wave and are ready to Walk for Wellness.
  • Finish Line: Celebrate walker's achievement and hand out medals, direct walkers to activities and activations in the event village.

The average shift duration is 4-6 hours. You can easily choose your preferred shift time and role after filling out the registration form.

This opportunity allows you to be part of something bigger than yourself, making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by cancer.
