Job Description:

As a Job Placement Consultant, you'll help individuals facing health challenges find new employment opportunities and support them in returning to meaningful & sustainable work to live their best lives.

This role will require you to service a caseload across our East & South East Melbourne region.

Your duties will include:

  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, potential employers, and your internal team of allied health professionals to provide safe, sustainable opportunities for workers to re-enter the workforce;
  • Contributing to injured workers' ability to achieve return to work goals through job skills development, confidence building, and promoting independence;
  • Applying and delivering exceptional customer service in employment services and job placement;
  • Empowering clients to effectively present their skills and abilities when seeking employment;
  • Brokering new employment opportunities in the Melbourne Metropolitan area and surrounds, providing swift re-engagement into employment for workers who have been detached from the workplace due to a workplace injury (physical and/or psychological);
  • Building strong relationships with local employers and organizations;
  • Completing written progress and various reports on a regular basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Occupational and/or Vocational Rehabilitation is highly desirable;
  • Previous experience in Employment Services/Disability Employment as a high performer;
  • Strong resume writing skills with an understanding of local labor markets;
  • A passion for assisting people to gain employment and enhance their careers;
  • The ability to grow our services and build strong relationships with key customers;
  • A current driver's license and motor vehicle.
