Job Opportunity

The Value and Access Manager position is a key role in preparing strategic submissions to PBAC, MSAC, and PHARMAC. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality content that aligns with the company's objectives.

This is an opportunity to work with a leading pharmaceutical company, recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in value and access, health economics, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.

A strong understanding of the ANZ healthcare system and reimbursement processes is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare high-quality submissions to PBAC, MSAC, and PHARMAC, including writing clear, evidence-based content.
  2. Act as the market access lead on cross-functional Brand teams, delivering actionable insights to inform strategy and business planning.
  3. Contribute to reimbursement feasibility assessments for new products/indications to support portfolio prioritisation and resource allocation.
  4. Monitor the evolving reimbursement and policy landscape in Australia and New Zealand and contribute to stakeholder engagement activities that support access objectives.
  5. Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure local access insights inform evidence planning and support alignment on access and pricing strategy.
  6. Provide input into reimbursement and pricing assumptions for financial planning cycles.
  7. Represent the company externally with Department of Health, Medicines Australia and external experts relevant to portfolio as required.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical, Science, Public Health, Health Economics, or Business Administration
  • Experience in Value and Access, health economics, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Understanding of the ANZ healthcare system and reimbursement processes
  • Strong strategic & analytical thinking: demonstrated by the ability to identify and understand complex issues and problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and matrix environments
