System Administrator and Technical Support Specialist

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator and Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Canberra. As a trusted professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our corporate systems.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on position where you'll be responsible for administering and providing technical support across our corporate systems, procuring IT hardware and software, and ensuring compliance with cyber security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including configuration and maintenance.
  • Manage security settings such as MFA, conditional access, and threat protection.
  • Implement compliance policies, including DLP and data retention across Microsoft 365.
  • Maintain and monitor sensitive networks to ensure performance, security, and uptime.
  • Oversee physical and environmental security of the facility hosting sensitive IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with cyber security frameworks.
  • Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage IT service requests and incidents via the internal ticketing system.
  • Procure IT hardware and software and coordinate with vendors for delivery and support.
