The role of General Manager, PR & Communications is a crucial part of our regional leadership team in Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking a seasoned communications leader with a passion for brand storytelling to shape and deliver our communications strategy across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing team and agency partners to drive campaign success and strengthen Intrepid's reputation as the best travel company.
  • Ensure our brand has a strong and authentic voice across consumer, corporate, and advocacy channels.
  • Contribute to our global PR & Communications strategy.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Melbourne with flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.

Essential Requirements:
  • 10+ years in a communications role with a varied background in an agency or in-house large international organisation.
  • Success with cross-functional campaigns that drive social impact, advocacy, and tangible outcomes.
  • Ability to lead brand advocacy and purpose communications.
  • Strong command of the ANZ news cycle, publications, and key media figures.
  • Confidence to advise senior stakeholders on best practice, sensitive issues management, and crisis communications.
