Workshop Controller Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Light Vehicle/Automotive knowledge and leadership skills to drive and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate jobs to technicians based on skills and availability to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor progress of repairs and servicing, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Liaise with service advisors to provide accurate updates to customers.
  • Carry out quality checks on completed work and ensure safety standards are upheld.
  • Support the service team in achieving workshop targets (productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction).
  • Maintain a well-organized and safe working environment.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to the workshop team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle/Automotive knowledge (preferred)
  • Leadership skills and the ability to drive and motivate a team
  • Work well under pressure
  • Clear communication and a professional attitude
  • Experience with Mitsubishi/Subaru/GWM is an advantage
