Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to lead our quality assurance team in delivering exceptional quality food products. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the operations team and have a competitive remuneration package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a positive Food Safety Culture by implementing site Food Safety Culture Program initiatives
  • Manage a team of technical qualified QA staff for verification & validation activities as set for their Operating Rhythms
  • Develop and implement the site Quality Management System to meet legislative and customer requirements
  • Lead external audits, site Lead for Third party audits using audit findings to drive ongoing continuous improvements
  • Analyse lead and lag indicators to place focus on improvement initiatives using lean principles
  • Champion the importance of quality assurance on the factory floor through high visibility of the QA team and ensuring QA involvement in processes
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar management position
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing/FMCG business, preferably meat processing
  • Experience driving a positive Food Safety Culture
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Sound Technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and emotional intelligence
