About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Development Specialist to join our People & Culture department at David Jones. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering people solutions that align with our commercial and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the broader People team and business to deliver fit-for-purpose people insights and solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Support performance coaching and management across the organization, working closely with Senior HR/People Partners/Managers.
  • Operate as a conduit for key people initiatives, focusing on optimizing employee experiences and enabling data-driven people planning.
  • Manage cyclical people activities such as talent, succession, performance, recognition, engagement, and remuneration.
  • Support the People Business Partners and work closely with our People Assist Team and other People Advisors to form meaningful people interventions aligned to both the business strategy and people plan.
Requirements
  • People/HR Advisor or HRBP experience with demonstrated experience owning HR cyclical activities and supporting senior HR team members with strategic people initiatives.
  • Ability to work autonomously to deliver outcomes, while also having a team approach and mindset to sharing insights, updates, and key information.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and interpersonal skills, with experience partnering with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Data analytics and insights capabilities to inform people planning and decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and communicate people insights.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Psychology, Law, or similar ideal.
