The Civil Engineering State Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers, driving business growth, and overseeing select projects. You will thrive on challenges and be motivated to cultivate a positive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of design development, preparation and/or administration of contract documents, opinions of probable construction costs, client relationships, staff supervision and mentoring.
- Business expansion will be a significant focus for this position, involving community engagement to facilitate growth of the office with support from the leadership team interstate.
- Focusing on client satisfaction through exceptional communication and designs that meet budget and time goals.
- Quality Control - Managing the delivery of all design aspects of urban development projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills to interact with existing and new clients effectively and professionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Current CPEng and RPEQ (or eligibility for) registration.
- 10+ years of professional engineering design and project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with tight deadlines and ability to adjust to project priorities and demands of multiple clients.
- Good knowledge of the Queensland market and existing relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of Australian standards & council design standards.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- Strong business acumen skills.
