Job Overview">

The Events Producer role is responsible for the creative, production, and delivery of civic events programs.

">">This includes Mayoral Receptions, park openings, community and commemorative events, official functions, ceremonial occasions, and Council's Australian Citizenship program. The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end event development and delivery, managing multiple projects in a high-pressure environment, and working with minimal supervision to produce high-quality work within strict deadlines. They should also possess superior oral and written communication skills, including public speaking experience, and be able to travel and attend events outside of core business hours.

  • ">">
  • Develop and deliver an annual program of civic events, including budgeting, cost estimation, quotation sourcing, payment delivery, and budget reconciliation.">
  • Work cross-functionally across Council and the community to identify and leverage event opportunities, foster collaboration, and optimize the calendar of events.">
  • Oversee the Civic program budget, including cost estimates, quotations, payment delivery, and budget reconciliation.">
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute events that promote community engagement, economic growth, and cultural enrichment.">
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, sponsors, and vendors.">

The successful applicant will have:

  • ">">
  • Tertiary qualifications in event management, project management, protocols, or business management, or equivalent industry experience.">
  • Experience in the end-to-end development and delivery of events.">
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple and complex projects in a high-pressured environment.">
  • Experience working in a highly political environment with the ability to retain a positive and focused attitude.">
  • Ability to produce high-quality work within strict deadlines, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with minimal supervision.">
  • Experience in database management and reports.">
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, including public speaking experience.">
  • Ability to travel and attend events outside of core business hours.">
  • Demonstrated delivery of continuous improvement, reviewing practices, identifying, and implementing change to increase productivity and output.">
