Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at The Sebel Quay West Suites Sydney. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Serve Coffee and Beverages
    • Expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, and latte.
    • Offer recommendations and suggestions to guests to enhance their coffee experience.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service
    • Deliver warm and welcoming service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain a Clean and Welcoming Environment
    • Ensure the coffee station and surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained.
    • Restock supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Team
    • Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Meet Quality and Safety Standards
    • Prepare and serve food and beverages to the highest quality and safety standards.
    • Follow all health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Passion for Coffee and Customer Service
    • Have a genuine passion for coffee and customer service.
    • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Have experience working in a coffee shop or restaurant environment.
    • Hold a valid Food Safety Handler Certificate.
    • Be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
