The Role:
As a key member of the Agricultural Appointments team, the Cropping Operations Manager will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of cropping operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely paddock preparation, crop management, and harvest liaison within specified budget and operational constraints.
  • Undertaking daily cropping operations management, including liaison with maintenance and direct management of agronomy, grower, irrigation, and cropping personnel.
  • Working closely with finance to undertake budgeting, planning, and purchasing for cropping operations, crop inputs, staffing, and related contracting.
  • Ensuring all site WHS and food safety standards, including HARPS and Global Gap, are met.

The Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in large-scale row-cropped fruit or vegetable cropping operations, with preferably related qualifications. Experience with farming enterprise planning software and MS Excel is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be a natural leader, good communicator, and able to liaise effectively with a broad range of people.
