Heavy Diesel Mechanic Job Description

Job Title: Field Service Fitter

Join our team as a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to provide onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment, diagnose and repair issues, and maintain excellent customer relationships.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic and repair services for customers' equipment in the field
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with quality and safety standards and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic)
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to work autonomously and solve complex technical issues proactively
  • OEM or earthmoving equipment experience highly regarded
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
