Role Overview
- We are seeking a skilled professional to work in our Instrument Department.
This role involves receiving, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing and packaging reusable medical devices at the highest standard of quality. You will be required to transport these devices throughout the hospital efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure patient needs are met within guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with AS/NZ 4187 Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) in health service organizations.
- Demonstrate high customer service standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with equipment use.
- Implement Infection Prevention measures according to Monash Health Policy.
To be successful in this role, you must have a Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services or equivalent qualification awarded by a registered training organization. Additionally, you should have greater than three years' experience as an instrument technician.
