Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Officer to join our team on a permanent basis, working Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and clients on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Setup and Safety Management
    • Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with our safety management plan, site facility plan, and traffic management plan.
  • Pre-Start Meetings and Safety Inspections
    • Facilitate pre-start meetings to ensure all employees are aware of the safety procedures and protocols.
    • Conduct daily safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Health and Safety Training and Awareness
    • Deliver regular health and safety training sessions to employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and hazards identified.
    • Prepare and submit regular safety reports to management and clients.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with site supervisors, managers, and employees to ensure effective communication and collaboration on safety matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working on construction projects.
  • Confidence in communicating with senior management and trade personnel.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Hands-on and proactive approach to safety management.
  • Minimum Cert IV in Health and Safety.
