Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative transport solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering specs, reports, calculations, layouts, production drawings, and cost estimates.

The ideal candidate will have degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering, as well as rail experience with a focus on Freight - Locomotives and wagons.

The role requires highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct detailed investigations and provide clear and decisive results and written reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Specifications: Prepare engineering specifications, reports, calculations, layouts, production drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Design Requirements: Define requirements and develop reference designs for new mechanical systems, integrate these into rolling stock, and ensure their operation and compliance.
  • Supplier Management: Review suppliers' design and work with them to ensure product supplied meets specification requirements.
  • Production Support: Liaise with production engineers and production personnel associated with the manufacturing of products.
Requirements:
  • Degree Qualifications: Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Rail Experience: Rail experience with a focus on Freight - Locomotives and wagons.
  • Communication Skills: Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct detailed investigations and provide clear and decisive results and written reports.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills with experience in the development and management of information systems.
