Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Professional to support surgical facilities and oversee the overall IOL portfolio, showcasing expertise in product benefits and differentiating vs. competitive products by providing high technical consultancy in assigned accounts.

This role requires a strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures, product technology, and selling to the medical profession, as well as experience with CRM applications and ability to effectively convey clear, complete, and focused information, and to interact with all levels of authority, tailoring messages to audiences and listening to other views.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support surgical facilities and oversee the overall IOL portfolio;
  • Provide high technical consultancy in assigned accounts;
  • Work with Account Managers, Tender and Pricing teams to provide the right customer solutions;
  • Drive total IOL revenue and market share in the territory;
  • Accelerate PCIOL penetration;
  • Facilitate the Accelerator program in selected accounts;
  • Manage tender requirements working with internal teams;
  • Develop new business with customers to achieve sales targets;
  • Maintain and optimize existing relationships and manage business with existing key customers.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer-facing roles within surgical environment or other industries;
  • Strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures, product technology, and selling to the medical profession;
  • Experience with CRM applications;
  • Tertiary qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, science, or business;
  • Ability to learn technical knowledge;
  • Understanding of the MTAA code of practice.
