The role of a Senior Service Manager is to lead and manage a team of professionals in a youth justice service centre. This position requires strong leadership and supervisory skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with staff, stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with human rights principles and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.">
  • Provide supervision to staff in the use of evidenced-based skills and processes associated with reductions in re-offending (including the use of case management frameworks, risk assessment tools, and providing targeted interventions).">
  • Allocate, prioritise and quality assure individual tasks in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory delegations.">
  • Participate in professional development and maintain knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice in working with young people who offend.">
  • Oversee the suicide risk management process in the youth justice service centre.">
  • Provide timely advice and assistance on complex matters to ensure the delivery of high-quality youth justice casework and restorative justice practices.">
  • Develop collaborative, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation on case-related matters and restorative justice processes.">
