Delivering Exceptional Support on the Sunshine Coast

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in delivering high-quality support services to clients in the Sunshine Coast area.

About the Clients

We provide support to two individuals, one living in Sippy Downs and the other in Pelican Waters. Our first client is a fun-loving lady who enjoys getting out into the community and meeting new people. She attends the gym regularly and values her independence.

Our second client is a bright and mature man who lives in SIL accommodation. He has interests in pottering in his courtyard, playing cards, and spending time with animals. He would like to get out and about more this year.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to our clients in their capacity needs. This includes:

  • Communicating effectively with clients, team members, and support specialists
  • Understanding and following instructions, and being responsive to client needs
  • Providing support as required, including personal care tasks, light domestic duties, manual handling, and community access
  • Building rapport with clients and support specialists

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold a current CPR and first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Hold NDIS worker screening or yellow card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
  • Hold a Certificate III in disability or related fields (or willingness to obtain)
  • Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
  • Have a genuine desire to positively impact people's lives
  • Manual handling experience required
