We are seeking an experienced Aquarist to join our team. As an Aquarist, you will work within the Curatorial department to ensure best practice animal husbandry and provide an exceptional experience for visitors.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Performing various tasks across the aquarium - daily husbandry, management, and welfare of the animal collection.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent and innovative animal exhibits that deliver an exceptional visitor experience.
  • Food preparation and feeding of fish and marine animals.
  • Clean and maintain the exhibits and quarantine tanks.
  • Maintaining high levels of cleanliness of all displays, quarantine, and food preparation areas, plus associated plant and workshops.
  • Maintaining and developing display lighting, signage, and interactive displays in the displays area.
About You

You will possess a relevant science qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience within an aquarium/aquaculture environment. You will be passionate about marine animals and display commitment, loyalty, and a strong work ethic.

You will be an exceptional communicator, solution-focused, and able to use your vast experience to work well in a successful team.
