Job Title:

Engineering Leadership Opportunity

About the Role:

As a seasoned technical leader, you will be responsible for driving the development of advanced features and editing capabilities that meet the needs of our growing user base.

You will lead a team of frontend engineers, coaching, mentoring, and growing them to scale the team and deliver results. A hands-on approach to technical problems, solving ambitious projects, and guiding the team to deliver scalable and robust product features is essential.

You will partner with Product Managers to understand and contribute to the product roadmap, drive planning and refinement of seasonal goals, and ensure alignment between the company, group, and teams.

Fostering a culture of collaboration and advocating for engineering needs within the group is crucial. You will also own and drive the delivery of large, cross-team initiatives from ideation to completion, with autonomy and independence of decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in technical people leadership or mentorship of software engineers.
  • Commercial experience in a software development environment, with a focus on frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, MobX, etc.).
  • Proven success working with Product, Design, and other product engineering teams – collaboration is key, with a focus on UX and user needs.
  • Firmly grounded computer science and engineering fundamentals, including concurrency, multithreading, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down large projects into smaller ones and deliver through others.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
