Rural Obstetrician Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Rural Obstetrician Specialist to join our team at Leongatha General Practice. As a key member of our accredited training practice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and passion for delivering quality family medical care to the people of Leongatha and surrounding communities.

• We are a well-established accredited General Practice with a strong culture of inclusivity, care, and respect led by a Practice Manager with 20 years' experience.
• Our practice supports continuity of care before, during, and beyond pregnancy, with the ability to manage patients' labour and birth.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Rural Obstetrician Specialist to provide antenatal and postnatal care through our well-managed General Practice, as well as VMO GP Obstetric services through Gippsland Southern Health Services - Leongatha Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide high-quality obstetric care to patients, including antenatal and postnatal care.
• To work closely with our experienced GPs and midwives to ensure seamless care coordination.
• To participate in on-call roster and provide emergency obstetric services when required.

Requirements:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner or Specialist Obstetrician.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Experience in obstetrics and a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in general practice or specialist medicine.
