Part Time Night Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic night manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the hotel's overnight operation.

The ideal candidate will have a guest obsessed focus, be able to navigate through change and provide quick thinking solutions should problems arise.

They will also possess clear and confident communication skills, attention to detail and a keen eye for numbers.

Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera is highly desirable.

  • Manage the hotel overnight in the absence of the General Manager
  • Complete audits of daily revenue and postings, making adjustments where needed
  • Collate paperwork and reports for finance and management
  • Provide efficient guest services including check in/out, request handling and providing hotel information
  • Settle and maintain guest accounts, ensuring cashiering is accurate
  • Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
  • Maintain the hotel's standard of professionalism
  • Be analytical and possess an eye for detail
  • Assist the Front Office Manager and General Manager in a variety of check and balance procedures
  • Assist with food & drink service in the hotel's cafe and help out when needed in the restaurant and bar
Qualifications
  • Guest focused approach with ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to navigate through change and provide quick thinking solutions
  • Clear and confident communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for numbers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera
  • RSA and First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
