About the Role


This key position plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of our manufacturing processes, adhering to ISO 9001 standards. You will oversee the management of supplier quality, production quality, and internal audits, while also coordinating the Material Review Board (MRB) process with the finance team. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate quality documentation, including customer incident logs and warranty data.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct receiving inspections of incoming mechanical and electrical parts to verify design intent compliance.
  • Supervise and manage the daily functions of the quality officers, ensuring their work quality and efficiency.
  • Prioritize inspection workloads in line with project and production requirements.
  • Generate and present team output reports using data from the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve inspection-related issues.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to expedite the completion of First Article Inspection (FAI) parts.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, providing insights on non-conforming parts.
  • Establish quality management processes to ensure ISO 9001 compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain the company's quality standards and procedures to meet customer needs, including feedback and return processing.
  • Work with the Supply Chain team to define quality requirements for external suppliers, ensuring materials meet AS9100 standards.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage risk-based internal audits to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Support external audits and lead the resolution of corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Conduct final inspections of sub-systems and complete systems, ensuring timely documentation of Certificates of Conformance.

Qualifications:



  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

Experience:



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) systems (preferred).
  • Experience with CMM equipment is advantageous.
