Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our defence systems. As a Principal Quality Officer, you will be responsible for managing quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee receiving inspections of incoming mechanical and electrical parts to verify design intent compliance.
- Supervise and manage the daily functions of quality officers, ensuring their work quality and efficiency.
- Prioritise inspection workloads in line with project and production requirements.
- Generate and present team output reports using data from the ERP system.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve inspection-related issues.
- Liaise with stakeholders to expedite the completion of First Article Inspection (FAI) parts.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, providing insights on non-conforming parts.
- Establish quality management processes to ensure ISO 9001 compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Help develop and maintain the company's quality standards and procedures to meet customer needs.
- Work with the Supply Chain team to define quality requirements for external suppliers.
- Plan, conduct, and manage risk-based internal audits to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
- Support external audits and lead the resolution of corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Conduct final inspections of sub-systems and complete systems, ensuring timely documentation of Certificates of Conformance.
