Delivering Excellence in Building Maintenance: A Key Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Services Officer to join our team. In this vital role, you will utilise your knowledge of building and construction to play a pivotal part in maintaining the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing portfolio.

Key responsibilities include determining and assessing maintenance requirements for department-owned property assets, supporting vacant property inspections, and undertaking initial assessments and providing expert advice and recommendations for disability modification requests and major building rectification or asset protection activities.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in building maintenance, construction, and trade practices
  • Confident communicator with strong client and outcome-focussed skills
  • Adaptable person who can respond to changing work priorities

Accountabilities:

  1. Accurately determine and assess maintenance requirements for department-owned property assets
  2. Support management of vacant property inspections in accordance with vacant unit maintenance procedures
  3. Undertake initial assessments and provide expert advice and recommendations for disability modification requests and major building rectification or asset protection activities
