About the RoleThe Principal Indigenous Support Liaison West will assist in designing and delivering Asset and site-based Indigenous workforce initiatives. This role will involve sourcing support and learning mechanisms related to Indigenous matters at an asset level to enhance the overall success of the ISL program.
Key Responsibilities- Work with Talent & Performance to identify and deploy support mechanisms at an Asset level for Indigenous employees.
- Support ISL team members in executing mechanisms at the site and function level.
- Align site KPIs and metrics to Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to identify opportunities for initiatives and ensure compliance and reporting of Indigenous workforce at both Asset and site levels.
- Work with Indigenous Engagement team to understand relationship requirements with Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBCs), Traditional Owner corporations, and local communities to support site-level engagement.
- Play a lead role in the ISL community of practice across Minerals Australia.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver initiatives and culturally sensitive communications.
- Proven ability to lead teams for high performance, ensuring inclusivity while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Previous experience in a similar role in case management, advocacy, community is recommended but not mandatory.
- Relevant vocational, TAFE or University qualification(s) (e.g. HR/ER, healthcare, community development) is recommended but not mandatory.
This role is based in Perth on a Monday – Friday basis. Travel to our various sites on occasion may be required.
