We are seeking an experienced cyber security specialist to join our team and contribute to the improvement of our organisation's cyber security posture through leading cyber security risk assessments and providing pragmatic guidance for identified risks and controls.
About the Role
This is a permanent role based in Perth, where flexible work arrangements are normal. You will be responsible for:
- Providing effective specialist cyber security guidance for IT and Operational Technology projects both with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conducting cyber security risk assessments of new and existing technologies to identify risks and appropriate controls which balance security and operability.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships to support the broader organisation in adopting Group Standards, Procedures and Guidelines related to Cyber Security.
- Contributing to internal processes, initiatives within Cyber Risk and Advisory, and delivery of the Cyber Security strategy.
- Supporting the execution of targeted annual risk reviews of key functions, technologies and systems within the organisation's landscape.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Practical experience in a cyber security-based role, preferably in a large organisation or a similar 'asset intensive' industry.
- Experience identifying and understanding cyber security risk, preferably in both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) contexts.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to a range of audiences, including non-technical and senior stakeholders.
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Familiarity with some of the cyber security industry frameworks used for identifying and managing cyber security risk (e.g. NIST, ISO, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC etc.).
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build credibility and collaboration.
