Job Summary:

Centurion is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team in Mackay. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving business performance through the implementation of new system improvements and processes. You will also provide superior customer service to clients in the mining industry, exceeding their expectations in relation to key performance indicators.

About the Role:

The Transport Supervisor will work under the direction of the Senior Transport Supervisor to provide a safe workplace, direction, and leadership to the broader Mackay transport team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing costs and ensuring rosters are set up for driver compliance and customer delivery expectations are met.
  • Recognizing opportunities to improve current processes.
  • Ensuring training is up to date, including planning and distribution of weekend contacts.
  • Overseeing pick up requests to ensure allocators are getting all freight collected.
  • Planning and allocation of equipment and drivers to ensure KPIs are being met for Driver CRA's.
  • Leading a safety culture, including the management of fatigue.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of required road networks and locations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft suite of packages.
  • Effective planning and project management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid leadership, mentoring, and management skills.
  • Commercial acumen with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
