The Senior Legal Counsel will be a key member of the legal team, providing strategic support to the company's property development and construction business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on a range of property-related matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, finance, construction and development projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various property and commercial contracts and agreements.
- Conduct due diligence on property transactions to identify legal risks and provide recommendations.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the property and construction industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Assist in the management and resolution of legal disputes and litigation related to property, construction and commercial issues.
To succeed in this role, you should have between 5 to 8 years' experience in property law, and ideally some exposure to construction law, from either private practice or in-house.
Key responsibilities include: drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting due diligence, staying up-to-date with industry regulations, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing legal disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property law, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
