About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter for a permanent employment opportunity. You will be working on our Curragh North coal mining project, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

  • Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment as required.
  • Remove and refit tyres and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment as required.
  • Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust and report to supervisor.
  • Source technical information from available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment non-conformance, identify and record any equipment quality problems, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.

About You

  • You will be a high-achieving safety-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment.
  • Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high-quality work will ensure your success in this role.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working as a tyre fitter in open cut mining in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving tyre fleet.
  • Hold current AUR21920 Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012.
  • Current Drivers Licence (HR drivers licence desirable).
  • Valid Standard 11 (or willing to obtain).
