Job Opportunity: Career Guidance and Workplace Inclusion Specialist

About the Role

This position involves working closely with individuals to identify and pursue meaningful career paths, while fostering inclusive employment practices across various workplaces. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing tailored support, developing client-focused employment plans, and collaborating with employers to create job opportunities that meet the needs of both clients and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and create career opportunities, matching clients to suitable and sustainable roles.
  • Champion inclusive employment and workforce diversity, focusing on people with disability, injury or health condition.
  • Engage and work with employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment.
  • Broker work experience to build participant skills and assess employer/client compatibility.
  • Prepare workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training.
  • Facilitate employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion.
  • Build employer and community networks to create job opportunities.
  • Promote Breakthru as a trusted provider supporting people with disability to achieve career goals.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
  • Champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services – desirable
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and manage workload effectively
  • Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disability, injury, or health conditions
  • Skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Current Driver's License - essential
